Facilities for Co-Curricular Activities
For the co-curricular activities, the college has the following facilities. Air-conditioned seminar hall for conducting seminars, quiz programmes, conferences and debates with the best audio-visual equipment. Every department is provided with OHP and display boards to display their academic activities.
Facilities for Extension Activities
To create social awareness among students and to inculcate the civic responsibilities, the institute has established a NSS Unit in the year 1997.
Through the NSS Unit the college organizes a number of outreach programmes, such as rural development, health awareness, literacy awareness, women empowerment, campus cleaning and maintenance, etc. The programme officer appointed by the college, systematically plans the various programmes. Sometimes, the NSS unit works in collaboration with local NGO.
The Red Ribbon Club was established in 2006 to spread awareness of AIDS among students and to educate the people living in slum areas of Vizianagaram, about the AIDS.
Women Welfare Center
A women welfare centre is constituted to councel women students of the college. Its office is situated in a room in the administrative block of the college. The coordinator of this centre looks after the welfare of women students and organises various literacy and cultural activities for their personality development.
The coordinator meets the students periodically and offers councelling about academic/personal problems of women students of the college. Any gender based harassment can be brought to the notice of the coordinator, who will attend to such complaints immediately for necessary remedial measures. The centre celebrates such functions as Women's Day, Mother's Day etc by organizing seminars, lectures and competitions among the women students and award prizes to winners. The college has an exclusive waiting room for girl students with hygenical toilet facilities.
Prof G Gopala Rao Memorial Endownment Scholarship
The centenary endownment committe of Prof G Gopala Rao, late Professor of Chemistry, School of Chemistry, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam has donated Rs 10,000/- as a fixed deposit and the interest accured every year will be given to a topper n M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry on the basis of his/her performance in I and II Semesters. The function will be held on 11th November every year.
Stationary and Xerox Facilty
A stores with stationary articles and xerox on payment basis is available near canteen for the benfit of students.
Drinking Water Facilty
Each building of the college is provided with adequate number of water coolers along with Aqua guard purifier, for providing cool, pure drinking water to the staff and students.
Medical Facilty
The college has a health centre with a visiting doctor. A qualified and a well-experienced medical officer looks after all the health service needs of the students, teaching and non-teaching staff. The MIMS, which is attached to the Medical College, has agreed to attend all the emergency cases.
